Description
OUTLINE
A useful simulator kit for practicing and educating ”safe” lumber puncture procedures
“To Clinically Realistic Condition by Simulator” Provides as a puncture training tool that reproduces a feeling of realistic puncture and lifelike resistance during needle insertion.
This kit consists of a lumbar puncture pad and an epidural puncture pad as well as UNISIS’s original transparent simulated skin and 2 types of trial spinal needles.
Only an anatomical model allows a wide variation in practicing injection of local anesthesia.
■ PUNCTURE PAD REPLACEMENT SYSTEM
Pad replacement system enables students and clinicians to educate and practice a variety of local injection including spinal anesthesia and epidural anesthesia, and local anesthesia for patients with a difficulty of needle puncture (optional). Lumbar puncture pad allows users to check the recall back of cerebrospinal fluid by filling water into the pad. Epidural puncture pad can be used to simulate a needle insertion into epidural space through the ligamentum flavem. Also, the simulated epidural space helps users practice a series of epidural anesthsia.
■ TRANSPARENT SIMULATED SKIN
Transparent simulated skin with our specific technology allow user to directly obseve the anatomy of the vertebra and the pass of spinal needle under clinically realistic puncture condition.
■ SPINAL NEEDLE ARE PROVIDED
AS STANDARD ACCESSORIES
Standard accessories include K-3 lancet point needle (Quincke) for spinal anesthesia and Pencil Point needle (Whitacre) which is a noncutting type. Pencil point needle enable quick closure of the puncture hole to minimize the CSF recall back, preventing PDPH incidents.
